The 6th edition of Kigali Fashion Week (KFW) 2016 officially started on Saturday with models posing for photographs.

The grand finale is slated for June 24 at Century Park Hotel. 12 countries will participate in the event where style, creativity and culture will be showcased.

Over 60 models and fashion designers from Rwanda, Ghana, DR Congo, Uganda, Kenya, Burundi, South Africa, South Sudan, Belgium, India, Japan and USA are expected to display case their collections.

“We are expecting to host over 60 fashion designers and this is an opportunity we should not waste. Rather, it is a chance to promote and show that we are improving the fashion industry,” says John Munyeshuri, the KFW boss.
